Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Statements to Sheets ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Statements to Sheets provides data extraction and document conversion services ("Services"), including:

• Extraction of tabular and structured data from PDF or scanned documents
• Conversion of bank statements and financial documents to CSV/spreadsheet format
• AI-powered transaction parsing and data formatting
• Free trial (50 transactions) and paid subscription plans

Important: The Services are limited to data extraction and formatting only. We do not verify the accuracy, completeness, or correctness of the underlying source documents.

3. User Accounts

Account Creation:

• You must provide accurate information
• You are responsible for maintaining account security
• One account per person/business
• Email verification required

Prohibited:

• Sharing accounts
• Creating multiple accounts to abuse free trial
• Using automated tools to create accounts

4. Your Responsibilities

As a user of the Service, you agree to:

• Provide complete and legible source documents
• Review all converted outputs for accuracy and completeness before use
• Validate all extracted data independently before using it for reporting, compliance, financial, accounting, tax, or operational purposes
• Understand that source documents may contain formatting ambiguities, visual inconsistencies, or OCR-related limitations that can affect extraction results

Acceptable Use:

You agree NOT to:

• Upload files containing malware or viruses
• Attempt to reverse engineer or hack the Service
• Use the Service for illegal purposes
• Upload files you don't have rights to process
• Abuse or overload our systems
• Resell or redistribute the Service
• Scrape or download data en masse

5. Pricing and Payment

Free Trial:

• Limited to 50 transactions total (not per file)
• No credit card required
• Cannot be reset or extended

Paid Plans:

• Day Pass: Valid for 24 hours from purchase
• Monthly Plan: Renews automatically until canceled
• All payments processed by Stripe
• Prices subject to change with 30 days notice

Refunds:

• Day Pass: No refunds after first conversion
• Monthly: No refunds on subscriptions
• Service issues: Refund at our discretion
• Fees are non-refundable once processing has commenced

Commencement of document processing constitutes acceptance of the applicable fees and terms.

6. Service Availability

We strive for 99.9% uptime but make no guarantees. The Service may be unavailable due to:

• Scheduled maintenance (we'll notify you)
• Technical issues beyond our control
• Force majeure events

7. Data and File Handling

• Files are automatically deleted after download
• Maximum file size: 32MB
• We do not permanently store your financial documents
• You retain all rights to your data
• We treat your documents as confidential and will not disclose them to third parties except as required to perform the Services or as required by law
• We may use automated tools, cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud, Firebase), or AI services (Google Gemini) as necessary to perform the Services, provided that such services are subject to reasonable confidentiality obligations

Ownership of Outputs:

Upon full payment, you own the delivered output files. We retain ownership of all tools, software, algorithms, and processes used to perform the Services.

8. Accuracy Disclaimer and Warranties

No Warranties:

The Services and outputs are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of:

• Accuracy or completeness of extracted data
• Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation

No Professional Advice:

The Services and outputs are not intended to constitute accounting, financial, tax, legal, or audit advice. The outputs are not a substitute for professional review or validation by qualified professionals.

Limitation of Liability:

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or downstream damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data loss, reporting errors, compliance issues, or tax filing errors
• Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the total fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim
• We are not responsible for errors arising from third-party software integration (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.)

Indemnification:

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cascade Foundry, LLC and Statements to Sheets from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the outputs, including but not limited to financial reporting errors, tax compliance issues, or business decisions based on converted data.

9. Intellectual Property

• The Service and its code are our property
• You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our software
• Our trademarks and logos are protected
• User-uploaded files remain your property

10. Termination

By You:

• Cancel subscription anytime from account settings
• Delete account to remove all personal data
• You remain responsible for payment for services performed up to the termination date

By Us:

• We may suspend or terminate accounts for Terms violations with written notice
• Immediate termination for fraud, abuse, or illegal activity
• 30 days notice for service discontinuation

11. Modifications to Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified via email 30 days in advance. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

12. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services subject to their own terms:

• Stripe: Payment processing - Stripe Terms
• Google Cloud: Hosting - Google Terms
• Firebase: Authentication - Firebase Terms

13. Dispute Resolution

Governing Law:

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Disputes:

• Contact us first at support@statementstosheets.com to resolve issues informally
• Binding arbitration for unresolved disputes under the rules of the American Arbitration Association
• No class action lawsuits - disputes must be resolved on an individual basis
• Any legal action must be commenced within one (1) year after the claim arises
